If an individual consumes more than what he can produces (or inherit, or the sorts), the corrective feedback loop is painfully short. But there seems to be no limit on how much you can leech off a group of people and almost perpetually hide behind the numbers. Case in point: wastefully large governments. So it is terribly amusing to watch all these different governments blathering about which set of people are being the most wasteful and who is consuming how much.
Also, I see many people nodding in apparent disgust over the American consumption figures. I have a tip for them; check the American production figures. Thanks.
